Topic: Valencia Enterprises to Hold Summer Language Camp for Kids
This summer, Valencia Enterprises, a division of Valencia Community College, will launch the Orlando Language Camp for Kids, a language immersion day camp where children can learn Spanish and/or Chinese.
Children will be immersed in language and culture through fun-filled, daily activities including arts and crafts, dance, music, storytelling, drama, movies, games, and fitness. Structured language instruction will cover all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing/grammar.
The Spanish program will be offered to children entering first through sixth grades. The Chinese program will be offered to children entering fourth through sixth grades. The camp will have a ratio of 25 campers to one language instructor and one counselor.
The Orlando Language Camp for Kids will take place from June 9 through July 18 at Hunter’s Creek Elementary School, located at 4650 Town Center Blvd. in Orlando. Campers may register for any one week of camp or up to six weeks.
The weekly camper fee is $275 with no additional registration fee. Those who register before April 30 will receive a discounted rate of $250 per week. The program includes free early-bird care (7:30 – 9:00 a.m.) and late-owl care (4:30 -5:30 p.m.).
