I can't navigate where I want to go.
How do I go backward and forward?
Users cannot move forward to parts of the lesson that have not been completed.
- To move backwards, press and hold the rewind button (<<)
- To move to the last section, press the BACK button
- To move forward over material that has already been completed, press and hold the fast-forward button (>>)
- To move to the next section that has been completed, press the FORWARD button
I am trying to log in using my Activation Code, but it's not working.
Enter the numbers AND the dashes from your Activation Code (for example, 5555-5555-5555-5555)
I entered my Activation Code as my username, but it said that username was already taken.
Please choose a unique username separate from your Activation Code. Choose a username you are likely to remember.
I forgot my password.
To reset your password:
- Click on the "User Login" area on the upper right.
- Click on the "Login to TDD Training Site" button.
- Click on the link at the bottom that says "Click here if you have forgotten your username and/or password."
- Select the "Course User" option and enter the email address you entered when you first registered.
- Your username and password will be emailed to you.
PRODUCT FAQs
How long does the program take to complete?
The entire program from start to finish takes approximately two hours to complete.
Can I stop in the middle and resume the training later?
Yes. If you log out of the training before finishing, you will be able to resume where you left off at another time.
How long do I have to complete the training?
Students have 30 days from date of purchase to logon and complete the training. There are no refunds if the course is not completed within this timeframe.
How much does it cost?
$49 buys access to the training for one telecommunicator. Please contact us for more information.
How do I know that this course meets the requirements I need?
The course adheres to the recommendations from the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Accessibility Committee – TTY Call Taker Proficiency and Quality Assurance Work Group. More information is available here.
Do I need any special equipment?
- A computer with internet access (cable modem speed or higher)
- Audio capability (speakers or headphones for multi-user environments)
- Acrobat Reader (a free standard product that comes installed on most computers)

How do I know if I passed the training or not?
The last module of the training program consists of a simulated TDD screen. The student is asked to practice communicating with simulated members of the Deaf/speech impaired community who are calling with emergencies. After completing this series of exercises, the student will be able to receive their certificate of completion.
Do I get a certificate that shows I passed?
Yes. At the end of the program, students immediately receive a customized certificate of completion for printing.
TECHNICAL FAQs
My pop-up blocker is preventing me from successfully loading the training window. What do I do?
Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the link to temporarily disable your pop-up blocker.
What kind of internet access do I need?
Modem speed of 56K or higher is required.
I stopped the lesson and came back to it, but it didn’t take me back to exactly the same place.
The program has stopping points built in. If you leave the program and rejoin it later, you are brought back to the stopping point nearest where you exited the program.
